Perch Clubhouse
The Perch Clubhouse is a leasing center, cafe, gym and outdoor entertaining space that maximizes dramatic, sculptural form to give a sense of place that is not typical for budget-driven multifamily development typologies. An expressive roofline works around mature existing trees within a gently sloping site, while featuring warm, natural materials to engage the residents and broader neighborhood surrounding South Austin apartment community. Anchoring the Clubhouse is an all-day cafe, Golden Hour, serving coffee in the morning and natural wines into the evening.
Large skylight pop-ups in the roof allow dappled light from above into the buildings airy and vaulted ceilings. A lush landscape blends and weaves the building indoor and outdoor spaces into its wooded context while rustic, West Texas interiors provides a laid back and inviting moment of reprieve. As an amenity center for a broader masterplanned community, several programs need to be accounted for in order to properly serve residents and the general public alike making the design feel both inclusive and connected to the greater public.
